Job Description

The Division of Transportation Planning and Management (TPM) is responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible movement of people and goods on the City's streets. The Office Livable Streets (OLS) is tasked with prioritizing strategic planning, community engagement, research, policy, design, implementation, and long-term management to create streets that are livable, supporting safety, accessibility, and economic vitality citywide. OLS is seeking a motivated Capital Coordinator for its Public Realm Unit within the TPM Division. The Capital Project Coordinator responsibilities include management of the unit’s capital portfolio in coordination with other DOT units and city agencies to ensure smooth transition through the capital pipeline on schedule and with substantial outreach and communication to the community. The selected candidate will work with internal DOT units as well as outside agency partners including Dept. Of Design and Construction, Parks and Recreation, Environmental Protection, Economic Development Corporation, City Planning, and others. This position will also work with public stakeholders and members of the community throughout the process.
