Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will prepare and analyze key month-end close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, high-volume bank reconciliations, and overhead allocations to ensure the accuracy of financial statements. They will manage monthly accruals, with a primary focus on the R&D expense function, and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. The candidate will prepare monthly variance analysis and commentary on financial results compared to prior periods, presenting findings in close meetings. They will also prepare complex accounting entries pertaining to intercompany, leases, fixed assets, intangible assets, prepaid expenses, and tax. They'll also identify and implement process improvements and automation within the accounting function.
