Engineering Manager - Observability

Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop a team of backend and frontend engineers, providing regular feedback and supporting each person’s growth through career conversations.
• Collaborate closely with go-to-market to ensure customers and prospects are successful with their Observability collection journey.
• Work closely with product and engineering leadership to ensure seamless integration of Fleet Management, Kubernetes Helm Chart, and Instrumentation Hub into the end-to-end user experience.

Requirements:

• Experience in observability (especially OpenTelemetry) or building a central control plane for fleets of collectors is a strong advantage.
• Comfortable collaborating across time zones and cultures in a fully remote environment, using clear, empathetic communication.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complexity, align stakeholders, and elevate team performance.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems principles, including scalability, fault tolerance, consistency, and observability.
