Director, Functional Capabilities Development

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the strategic direction for functional capabilities development, aligning plans with MHI and overarching business priorities to drive proficiency.
• Partner with key stakeholders, including Business HR and AbbVie learning partners, to leverage resources, create novel approaches, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Develop and coordinate capability assessments, design innovative learning solutions, and establish KPIs to measure training effectiveness and employee performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business field required, with an advanced degree or extensive experience in training/organizational development highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in pharma, including 3-4 years in medical affairs or leading a cross-functional training organization in a global, matrixed environment.
• Proven leadership in managing multiple projects, with expertise in strategic planning, conflict resolution, and the design/deployment of AI-driven learning platforms and use cases.

Additional Information:

• Travel may be required up to 30% as business needs arise, involving both virtual and in-person engagements across multiple countries and time zones.
