About the Role:
- As the Lead for Global External Affairs, you will build and direct the external affairs function within the Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) team.
- You will define how Cohere engages with the broader policy ecosystem, including think tanks, academic institutions, and industry coalitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute a comprehensive global External Affairs strategy aligned with Cohere's public policy and commercial objectives.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with leading technology policy think tanks, academic researchers, and civil society organizations.
- Manage coalitions and associations, representing Cohere's enterprise perspective in industry forums.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in external affairs, public policy, or strategic partnerships, ideally at a major technology company or policy institution.
- Extensive network across think tanks, academic centers, and civil society organizations globally.
- Deep understanding of global AI policy debates including data governance, safety, and enterprise adoption.
