We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build a greenfield government licensing platform on Google Cloud.
This is a contractor role with expected start date 5 October 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement Java/Spring Boot microservices for core domains: licensing, case management, payments, etc.
Own the API surface, ensure backward compatibility and stable contracts for consumers.
Implement event-driven architecture, PostgreSQL persistence, and security with OAuth/JWT.

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of backend engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot.
Production delivery on Google Cloud Platform and Bachelor's in CS or equivalent.
Expertise in API design, PostgreSQL, GCP serverless services, and automated testing.
