Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, debug, and enhance a legacy Progress OpenEdge application critical to business operations.
  • Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions, while conducting integration testing.
  • Support incident resolution, production support, and participate in blameless post-incident reviews.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of professional software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Progress OpenEdge and SQL databases.
  • Understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience with languages like C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or AWS.
  • Familiarity with Agile practices, including user stories, backlog refinement, and sprint planning.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience developing software modules for reuse or for a cloud environment like AWS, and supporting CI/CD.
  • Agile certification and experience providing thought leadership and mentoring others in the team.
