Staff Platform Architect

Architectural Direction:

• Drive architecture across Core Platform teams for coherent system evolution.
• Design adaptable backend foundations for multiple workloads and deployment models.
• Partner with FE platform on canvas, real-time communication, and plugin contracts.

Execution & Distributed Systems:

• Evolve subsystems like durable workflow execution, orchestration, and worker management.
• Design for correctness, resilience, and tenant isolation in distributed environments.
• Shape data persistence architecture including scaling, sharding, and migration strategies.

Engineering Enablement:

• Lead technical decisions through clear RFCs and trade-off analysis.
• Define stable platform interfaces to reduce coupling and support safe migrations.
• Mentor engineers via design reviews and technical guidance to raise architectural standards.

Requirements:

• Staff-level ownership with track record in re-architectures or platform initiatives.
• Strong systems thinking and experience with configurable, scalable distributed systems.
• Deep TypeScript, Node.js, and data architecture expertise, plus cross-team technical leadership.
