Merchandising Assistant

As a Merchandising Assistant, you will submit Purchase Orders to vendors, enforce vendor compliance, prepare and execute reports and vendor scorecards, and conduct vendor negotiations. You will help with market trends and customer preferences to support the category strategies. You will serve as the point of contact for vendors and manage day-to-day vendor relationship activities. Additionally, you will communicate new processes, policies, and company changes to vendors, solve roadblocks, and provide visibility to supervisors on project timelines and deliverables. This position requires travel to our headquarters in Melville, NY 3 times per year for internal meetings and team building activities.
