Vehicle Model Simulation Intern

Improve the current actuator models (steering, brake, throttle, and engine brake) to better represent their current behaviour. Look into better modeling of vehicle transmission system for better offline validation of the motion control system. Investigate switching to higher fidelity dynamics models and compare them to current models. Get new data, learn the parameters, and verify new model’s ability to represent the vehicle’s performance. Be part of a team of multidisciplinary Research Scientists and Engineers using an AI-first approach to enable safe self-driving at scale. Design, implement, train, and optimize vehicle dynamics and actuator models in simulation.
