The Work:
- Payroll runs through the Tax Filing Payments Team, pushing filing and payments into software.
- Maintain over a thousand unique integrations with tax agencies across every state and local jurisdiction.
In this role, you will:
- Take ownership of a defined set of jurisdictions with support from senior teammates.
- File and pay under established workflows and learn how filing specs change with regulations.
- Log friction points and build the muscle of turning observations into actionable items.
Tools for the Job:
- 1 to 2+ years in operations, compliance, payroll, or a related function.
- Track record of picking up new systems quickly and comfort taking ownership of defined work.
- Genuine curiosity about AI and internal tooling to speed up work.
Check
Check is rebuilding payroll infrastructure by embedding payroll into businesses. The team is distributed across the US and values creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and grit.
