Senior Staff Software Engineer – Compute Engineering

Role:

• Design and evolve the compute scheduler and resource-management systems, including placement, prioritization, preemption, and fairness.
• Build capacity models and forecasts, and turn them into reservation and placement decisions across private and public cloud.
• Establish performance and scale testing, including benchmarks, load tests, regression detection, and SLOs.

Qualifications:

• 12+ years in software engineering, cloud, or infrastructure automation with deep experience in multi-tenant, cloud-native SaaS.
• Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or Java, plus experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Hands-on experience applying ML in production and integrating AI into work processes and decision-making.
