Release of Information (ROI) Specialist

Role Responsibilities:

• Process, log, and respond to inbound medical record requests from clients, insurance companies, attorneys, and other valid requesters within required timeframes
• Review and validate request documents, authorizations, subpoenas, and records for production to ensure all releases are accurate, complete, and in compliance with federal and state regulations, HIPAA, and other relevant privacy laws
• Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard all patient information in accordance with privacy regulations and company policy

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in Release of Information or medical records management
• Health information management education and/or credentials are a plus
• Tech savvy, adept at navigating EMRs and other systems, tools, and ticketing software
• Team player, adaptable, collaborative, and keen to cultivate positive customer experiences
• Great attention to detail and an eye for process improvement; experience in mental/behavioral health and/or tech is a plus

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base compensation range of $25.00 - $26.44 USD per hour; full-time, non-exempt position
