VP of Engineering

As Aurora Solar’s VP of Engineering, you will lead the entire engineering organization across a wide and complex product surface area that spans the full lifecycle of distributed solar — from customer acquisition to system design, financing, permitting, and installation. You’ll inherit a technically capable team with strong institutional knowledge and be responsible for evolving the org to meet the demands of scale and speed. The successful candidate will be a strategic change agent who can assess what’s working, define what must improve, and drive focused execution across the org. You’ll modernize our software architecture to increase iteration speed while reducing blast radius, and champion a culture of accountability, agility, and roll-forward momentum. Major priorities will include aligning the team on rapidly evolving product priorities driven by market and regulatory shifts; extending our platform’s depth and compliance for international markets; deepening our financing integrations to create a best-in-class experience; and building out the consumer marketplace with a data-driven approach. You’ll lead and develop a team of Directors and Senior Directors, guiding them to operate with greater clarity, urgency, and impact.
