• Code in C# with a modern cloud stack on AWS.
• Design and build robust REST APIs in C#.
• Improve performance and reliability for data-heavy services.

• Responsible for receiving, analyzing and resolving internal issues that have arisen through monitoring tools and systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, while liaising with the issue submitter.
• Provide technical/solution support to our client and user base.

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise cloud and AI strategies.
• Define scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
• Influence enterprise-wide cloud adoption and optimize AI/ML deployment.

• Focus on building new features for the REST API and data processing engine using Typescript and Python/Spark and deployed on AWS. In this role, you'll contribute to improving the performance and scalability of our platform. Some of the duties include:
• Mentor junior team developers and perform code reviews.
• Automate deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work effectively in cross-functional teams.

As a Backend Software Engineer Contractor, you will help the team deliver high-quality solutions for Newsela’s Core curriculum product. You will be working in a fast-paced environment to manipulate different types of content and text data in a myriad of shapes and sizes, as well as work on the extension of a Python service to deliver this content for consumption by downstream systems and UIs.

The Incentives Development team is dedicated to driving innovation and excellence. You would be working on the Varicent Incentives: a single-page web application utilizing React and Redux frameworks that connects to a REST API written in C#, hosted in AWS. Build new features for the REST API & enhance the AWS infrastructure using C# and AWS CloudFormation.
