About the Role:
- We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer V – M&P to lead the evaluation and development of metallic and non-metallic materials for solid rocket motor propulsion systems.
- This role reports to the Analysis and M&P Manager and is part of the Strategic Systems division based in Folsom, CA, and is remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess expertise in advanced ceramic properties, insulator material characterization, and advanced metal types.
- Lead evaluation, selection, and qualification of materials for extreme environments.
- Author and contribute to compliance documentation and failure analysis reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science Engineering or related field with 10-15 years of experience, or Master’s with 8-13 years.
- Familiarity with standards such as MIL-STD-1546, SMC-S-009, and NASA-STD-6016.
