About the Role:
- You will help reduce Firefox's WebCompat bug backlog by finishing or verifying diagnosis of site-breakage bugs.
- You will write interventions and simple fixes, often with AI assistance, to turn reports into actionable fixes.
Responsibilities:
- Finish diagnosing, or verify the diagnosis of, long-tail WebCompat bugs.
- Write WebCompat interventions where appropriate.
- Land simple AI-assisted fixes and reproduce/triage incoming site-breakage reports.
Qualifications:
- Solid web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and comfort debugging real-world site breakage.
- Fluent with browser devtools and cross-browser diagnosis, plus comfortable using AI tooling.
Preferred Experience:
- Gecko knowledge is a strong plus, as is prior WebCompat or web-standards experience.
