We’re looking for a (Senior) Payment Operations Specialist with a focus on debt recovery and issue escalation support. In this role, you’ll take ownership of WeTravel’s debt recovery process — from identifying overdue balances and following up with clients to collaborating cross-functionally to maintain financial integrity.
You'll own and execute WeTravel’s debt collection and recovery processes, including direct client outreach, payment reminders, and follow-up communications. Engage with organizers and clients via email, phone, and video calls to resolve outstanding payments while maintaining strong relationships. Help manage and oversee high value dispute and chargeback processes. Have tough but productive conversations with commercial teams (Sales & Account Managers) and internal stakeholders to align on recovery strategies, client situations, and escalation paths.
Collaborate closely with the internal operations and Finance teams to support client complaints, escalations, and dispute resolution, ensuring all actions comply with contractual and regulatory frameworks. Recommend and implement policy and process enhancements to improve efficiency, compliance, and transparency in collections. Support broader payment operations initiatives, including payments screening, risk review, and payment process improvements. Serve as a trusted internal expert on client payment recovery, escalations, and financial follow-up.
