Responsibilities:
- Lead privacy reviews, data subject request processes, and cross-functional risk mitigation efforts with Security and Engineering teams.
- Draft, review, and negotiate privacy-related agreements such as DPAs and provide expertise for commercial deals and M&A diligence.
- Monitor evolving global privacy and AI regulations, translating complex legal requirements into practical, actionable guidance.
About You:
- Possess a J.D. and an active U.S. state bar membership with 10+ years of relevant legal experience, including 3+ years in-house at a tech company.
- Have deep expertise in global privacy law (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and hands-on experience building privacy compliance programs in a technology environment.
- Are a practical, business-minded leader who builds strong relationships and provides clear guidance to Product, Engineering, and executive stakeholders.
Compensation & Location:
- The role is remote-first within the United States, Canada (BC & ON), and the United Kingdom.
- Base salary is zone-based within the United States, ranging from $211,200 to $300,000 USD per year, and is also eligible for the company-wide annual bonus program.
- The specific pay is determined by geographic location, experience, qualifications, and skills.
