The Director, Shared Financial Services is responsible for leading the Shared Financial Services Team (SFS) and maintaining overall integrity, accountability, and viability of the group. SFS provides shared financial and accounting services to Make-A-Wish chapters who elect to utilize such services offered by the National Office. They provide oversight and guidance in areas related to accounting, internal and external reporting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
The director establishes the vision, strategies, goals, and objectives of the Shared Financial Services team. This role directs, motivates, and coaches staff and supports them in partnering with participating chapters. The director also coordinates and manages completion of the external audit process for participating chapters and handles sensitive information with a high level of trust and confidentiality.
