Software Engineer - CRM

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• The CRM team owns the surface Close customers live in all day: leads, contacts, opportunities, tasks, activities, custom objects, and search.
• You'll help design the next version of Close and untangle the current one to get there, working on the largest engineering effort at the company.

YOU ARE:

• A seasoned engineer with Python, architecturally minded, experienced in data model and retrieval problems.
• Experienced in search, especially Elasticsearch, and AI-native in production, having shipped LLM-backed features.
• Battle-tested, a builder first, and use AI tools in your daily workflow.

YOU WILL:

• Rearchitect the core CRM data model to allow customers to represent their business flexibly.
• Ship AI-native CRM features like agentic enrichment and AI-powered data cleaning.
• Keep the hot paths fast for salespeople who use Close hundreds of times a week.
