Design Engineer

About the role:

• You'll sit directly with the Product Design team, alongside a group of AI-first builders.
• You'll help prototype, build, and polish experiences across the Dashboard, Admin Portal, AuthKit, Atlas, and more.
• You'll contribute to our design system and help improve how everyone at the company builds.

Responsibilities:

• Build production-quality components and interactions across WorkOS products.
• Prototype concepts, build new products, and experiment with new interaction patterns.
• Raise the quality of WorkDS, our design system, by improving performance, state, accessibility, and interaction behavior.

Qualifications:

• You have an eye for design details and care deeply about craft, with a history of shipping polished products.
• You can articulate design decisions and account for real-world complexity, edge cases, and technical constraints.
• You're equally comfortable in code as in Figma, work AI-first, and default to showing work early.
