JOB SUMMARY:
- Lead two critical search intelligence teams: Machine Learning & Recall and Query.
- Bridge query understanding and candidate generation at the entry point of the discovery pipeline.
- Drive strategy balancing state-of-the-art techniques with low-latency production execution.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Set a unified roadmap across both teams, ensuring query understanding and candidate generation evolve together.
- Drive query intelligence in tokenization, spell correction, entity extraction, and LLM-assisted parsing.
- Advance recall systems combining keyword search with dense embeddings and hybrid models.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
- Evolve hybrid recall framework to improve candidate generation for long-tail queries.
- Drive quantifiable lift in search-attributed conversion and revenue per visit.
- Optimize inference latency and compute infrastructure for production.
