Job Summary:

  • Improve overall quality and completeness of provider-based clinical documentation.
  • Review patient records and assist providers to ensure accurate severity of illness and level of services.
  • Work with providers, coders, and patient care team members for comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Health Information Management or related field; 1-2 years inpatient coding experience.
  • Active RN licensure or RHIA/RHIT, CCS, CDIP, CCDS certification.
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Nursing or HIM, acute care coding or CDI experience.
