Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely medical record coding across hospital and ambulatory sites.
  • Serve as the strategic liaison between coding operations and the reimbursement process to drive continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and educate clinical providers and coding staff on coding, documentation, and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Medical Record Sciences with RHIT, RHIA, or CCS certification.
  • Thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, and coding systems.
  • Minimum of five years inpatient coding experience; Level 1 trauma facility experience preferred.
