Responsibilities:
- Verify and analyze medical record documentation to assign accurate diagnostic and procedural codes.
- Perform data entry of charges and resolve coding discrepancies.
- Assist in orientation and training of new employees in coding and charge capture.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Health Record Technology or related field with 2 years coding experience.
- Must obtain CPC, RHIT, or RHIA certification within 18 months of hire.
- Alternatively, 3-5 years coding experience with applicable credentials.
