Outpatient Complex Coder

Role Overview:

• You will be the backbone of accurate healthcare reimbursement and data integrity.
• Your meticulous work directly supports medical research, patient care evaluation, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Code complex outpatient cases with precision to support accurate reimbursement and billing.
• Abstract and compile patient data for medical research projects and care evaluation.
• Maintain strict adherence to coding guidelines, third-party reimbursement policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; specialty coding certification or five years experience.
• Thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, disease processes, and medical terminology.
• Minimum two years coding experience; preferred specialty coding experience and RHIT, CPC, or CCS certification.
