ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Codes and abstracts patient records for professional billing to ensure accurate reimbursement.
- Interacts with billers to address coding requests and assists in resolving insurance denials for correction.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of current coding experience.
- Coding certification and knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology are essential.
- Demonstrates professional communication skills and ability to work independently within guidelines.
