Director, Data Governance

About the Role:

• Build and execute the AI-ready data governance strategy using a federated, pragmatic model with distributed ownership.
• Focus on outcome-driven sequencing where scope is committed based on evidence rather than ambition.
• Use agentic AI tools daily to accelerate data governance tasks and maintain a fast pace of delivery.

What You’ll Do:

• Run Databricks Unity Catalog and Atlan as the technical and business-facing backbone of certification, domain by domain.
• Stand up continuous, agent-driven scoring behind certified data with live trust scores and automated actions.
• Own executive intelligence reporting that gives leadership a real-time answer on data trust levels across the organization.

What You’ll Bring:

• 7+ years of enterprise data governance or data management experience with a proven track record driving programs end to end.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks Unity Catalog and a business-facing catalog like Atlan, certifying metrics end to end.
• Daily use of AI agents like Claude as a core working tool and ability to set guardrails for their use.
