This is a full-time, exempt position at The States Project, operating remotely with occasional in-person retreats and programming. Some travel (20-25%) and occasional evening/weekend hours are required. The Senior Manager for Lawmaker Engagement will manage programs for lawmakers focused on effective governance, team systems, and operations to ensure efficiency and scalability. Responsibilities include managing program development/evaluation, team operations/systems support, and lawmaker communications/engagement. The role involves identifying and executing new ways to engage with lawmakers, supporting program and content development, collecting and analyzing data, systems development and improvement, coordinating internal and cross-team workstreams. Ensuring adherence to programming budgets and budget tracking (particularly for in-person engagements). Qualifications include 5+ years of relevant experience, passion for the mission, strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with CRMs and data platforms.
