Responsibilities:
- Guide the technical direction of glab, owning its architecture, implementation, and evolution.
- Design and ship terminal-first features in Go, focusing on developer experience, performance, and backwards compatibility.
- Steer the open source community by triaging issues, reviewing contributions, and maintaining a high quality bar.
Requirements:
- Significant professional experience with Go and building command-line interfaces.
- Proven open source contributions and ability to operate as a self-directed owner.
- Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript developer tools and AI-powered developer tools is a plus.
Team and Culture:
- Work within the Developer Clients group (about 9 engineers) in the AI Clients stage (about 20 engineers).
- Collaborate across GitLab Duo CLI and IDE extensions in a remote, asynchronous environment.
- Embrace AI as a core productivity multiplier, with all team members expected to incorporate AI into daily workflows.
