DESIGN SYSTEM STRATEGY & VISION:
- Experience owning the vision and roadmap of a design system at scale, supporting 40+ designers and engineers.
- Ability to balance long-term vision with pragmatic, milestone-driven delivery.
- Strong product sense applied to a design system as a product.
GOVERNANCE & OPERATING MODEL:
- Define and evolve design system governance and contribution models.
- Set and hold a quality bar for components, tokens, patterns, and accessibility.
- Comfort making tooling and infrastructure decisions in partnership with design ops and engineering.
CRAFT & TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP:
- Hands-on maker who personally authors components, tokens, and patterns in Figma.
- Deep design-system craft across components, APIs, token systems, and theming.
- Strong technical acumen and understanding of how design systems are implemented in code.
ENABLEMENT, ADOPTION & COMMUNICATION:
- Drive system adoption through evangelism and clear presentations to leadership.
- Define system-health and adoption metrics and report ROI.
- Strong partnership skills with design, engineering, and product leadership.
