Responsibilities:
- Design underground transmission lines for voltages up to 500kV.
- Responsible for cost analyses, development of design criteria, siting and routing challenges.
- Responsible for cable selection studies, determining bonding scheme, performing ampacity calculations.
Qualifications:
- BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
- Proficiency with CYMCAP modeling and cable tensioning calculations.
- 5 or more years of experience on underground transmission projects.
AI & Automation:
- Lead others in using data and modern tools to improve workflows and reduce rework.
- Direct automation and process-improvement work, such as automating calculations or generating design documentation.
- Overseeing engineers who program or script to automate engineering tasks.
