Job Description
OpenEye Scientific is seeking a Sales Executive I to operate at the intersection of science, technology, and business. As Sales Executive, you will utilize technical knowledge and customer insight to maximize the value of OpenEye solutions, selling software for computational chemistry. You will develop relationships with current and prospective customers to maximize long-term revenue through selling OpenEye solutions.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a clear understanding of OpenEye product line, research pipeline, vision, and philosophy and communicate it to customers.
Interact with customers through video, phone, email, and site visits to generate revenue and sales.
Manage complex sales cycles including contract negotiations, involving high TCV greater than $2M.
Help OpenEye grow in the existing market and establish new markets.
Coordinate regional activities with application scientists and technology specialists.
Generate new and renewal quotes; track sales opportunities and information within SalesForce.
Attend scientific conferences representing OpenEye.
Collaborate with OpenEye colleagues and problem-solve to overcome sales obstacles.
