The role will predominantly be working within the Water and Energy industries but may cover wider utilities and infrastructure. You will focus on areas such as regulatory business planning, asset strategy, service delivery, risk management, and environmental advisory on capital projects. This is a senior consultant role and the post holder may be seconded into one of Aqua’s clients on a part time or full time, occasional or permanent basis.

Responsible for the implementation and management of programs that oversee the Operation, Preventive Maintenance, Reactive Repair and Replacement of mechanical, electrical, control systems, plumbing, HVAC systems and other building mechanical systems. Ensure all mechanical assets for up to 35-40 buildings across the U.S. are properly maintained, repaired and managed in CMMS. Serves as HVAC/mechanical subject matter expert and advises account leadership, facilities managers, HVAC technicians and Commercial Maintenance Technicians on appropriate steps to maintain and repair assets.

• Monitor and interpret industry codes, translating complex code language into clear decision memos and operating guardrails.
• Ensure settlement integrity by defining how code changes flow into systems and billing rules, maintaining audit trails for settlement logic and compliance evidence.
• Establish metering policy, setting COP-compliance standards and pre-go-live checks, documenting MSID vs MPAN handling, and defining exception pathways and evidence requirements.
