Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze agency and program needs to determine functional requirements and evaluate new methodologies.
- Develop recommendations for process improvements and innovative solutions aligned with SAMHSA's public health priorities.
- Contribute expertise to workstreams covering paid campaign strategy, formative research, audience segmentation, message development, and performance evaluation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in public health, behavioral health, communications, or related field.
- At least 5 years of senior-level experience in suicide prevention, behavioral health crisis services, or public health communications.
- Strong ability to convey complex subject matter to diverse audiences including government stakeholders and creative teams.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience with federal health communications programs, especially SAMHSA.
- Familiarity with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and behavioral health crisis services continuum.
- Knowledge of the Stages of Behavior Change framework and application to public health campaigns.
