Play a key role in the development function of UpStart, including grant oversight, development operations, and coordinating strategies for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Expected to travel approximately 2-3 times a year for team retreats, donor events, and funder meetings as needed.
Responsibilities include grant writing and management by leading grant writing and reporting processes, managing grant deadlines, and maintaining relationships with foundation professionals. Manage donor marketing and communication data, design and implement process improvements, coordinate events, and develop communication materials. Serve as owner of cross-departmental fundraising projects, collaborate with the central operations team, and provide tech support for the development team.
Skills include experience in fundraising, grant-writing, development operations, and project management. Strong project management and writing skills. Experience with foundation prospecting and CRM systems.
