About the Role:
- You build the models that shape how Virta shows up for each member.
- You carry fuzzy clinical questions into production-grade ML systems.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong baselines before adding complexity.
- Design offline and online evaluations and run error analysis.
- Build self-maintaining models with retraining and drift detection.
Must Haves:
- 5+ years building production ML systems.
- Strong foundation in traditional ML and rigorous evaluation.
- Experience with causal ML or LLM-based systems.
Nice to Haves:
- Background in clinical or health-tech ML.
- Judgment about when traditional ML outperforms LLMs.
