Underwriting Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite new business submissions, renewals, and endorsements for moderate to high complexity commercial accounts.
• Oversee territory growth and profitability, using internal and external data to support decision-making and create performance reports.
• Collaborate with sales, claims, loss control, and agency partners, leading visits and promoting product benefits.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of commercial multi-line underwriting experience with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with underwriting systems and continuous learning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or related field, with completion of General Insurance and Associate in Underwriting certificates.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range is $68,933 to $86,166 annually, with bonuses based on performance.

• Standard first-year PTO is 17 days, pro-rated based on hire month, with enhanced PTO possible for experienced candidates.
