The Accountant will be responsible for reconciling account balances and bank statements, managing full-cycle accounts receivable, overseeing revenue recognition, maintaining the general ledger, and executing month-end close procedures. This role requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting. Additionally, the Accountant will collaborate cross-functionally to drive automation and process improvements, optimizing the month-end close process. Please note that this role does not involve fund accounting, and prior fund accounting experience is not required.
Essential Functions:
Maintain and reconcile Accounts Receivable (AR) Aging Report and track customer collections. Process and send customer invoices via email or customer portals. Update reports related to collection activities and ensure departmental KPIs are met. Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts. Prepare intercompany account reconciliations, consolidations, and eliminations. Manage SVB credit card expense review and processing. Provide monthly Market Launch Profit and Loss reports to Program Managers and ensure accurate cost adjustments in NetSuite. Support the month-end closing process for AR and Market Launch activities, ensuring adherence to deadlines. Assist in revenue recognition reconciliation against deferred revenue. Contribute to year-end close and audit processes. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls. Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and compliance issues. Participate in ad-hoc projects for process improvement and system implementations.
