Director, Product Management – Commercial Water Heating

This role will spearhead the creation and execution of the product strategy for Commercial Water Heating – a new product category for the company. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Heating & Water business by identifying market opportunities, defining the go-to-market approach, building product roadmaps, and collaborating cross-functionally to bring innovative solutions to life. As the first product management leader for this category, you will act as a general manager and be responsible for setting the vision, establishing category goals, and ensuring execution from concept through commercialization. Category Strategy & Market Entry: Develop a comprehensive category strategy for commercial water heating, including market analysis, competitive benchmarking, customer segmentation, and business case development. Define entry strategies including build vs. buy vs. partner decisions. Establish and communicate a compelling vision and value proposition for GE Appliances in the commercial water heating space. Product Lifecycle Management: Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through launch and post-launch optimization. Define and prioritize product roadmaps, leveraging voice-of-customer insights, market trends, and emerging technologies. Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with engineering, operations, sales, marketing, supply chain, and service teams to align on execution plans and ensure flawless product delivery. Lead business reviews and update stakeholders across the organization on progress, performance, and pivot plans. Customer & Market Insight: Conduct extensive voice-of-customer (VoC) research with commercial customers, specifiers, and channel partners. Translate market needs into actionable product requirements and innovative solutions. P&L & Financial Accountability: Develop financial models and business cases to justify investments. Establish KPIs and track performance metrics to ensure financial targets are achieved.
