Senior Counsel

Responsibilities:

• Advise product, engineering, and trust & safety teams on implementation of regulations like DSA, UK Online Safety Acts, and GDPR.
• Provide product counseling on web hosting, ecommerce, and social media with a customer-centric approach.
• Track upcoming regulations, represent Automattic before regulators, and design scalable compliance processes.

Requirements:

• JD from US accredited law school with 5+ years relevant experience or EU-based attorney.
• Familiarity with open source, user-generated content, web hosting, and digital advertising industries.
• Humble and eager teammate able to work independently in an asynchronous environment.
