Senior Protective Relaying Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Perform protection system calculations and analysis to support a wide variety of clients.
• Develop relay settings associated with HV/EHV substations and transmission lines.
• Develop relay settings for power station generators, transformers, motors, and medium/low voltage protection devices.
• Aid clients to comply with NERC PRC standards and analyze relaying event reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power/Power Systems) with sufficient industry experience; Master's or PhD preferred.
• 7+ years relevant engineering experience with emphasis in power system protection.
• Experience with microprocessor-based relays (SEL, Beckwith, GE, ABB) and electro-mechanical relays.
• Experience with relay software (SEL AcSELerator, GE Enervista) and protection software (ETAP, SKM, Aspen).
• Experience with generator, transformer, motor protection studies, HV/EHV substation and line relaying, LV breaker protection, and NERC PRC compliance.
