Job Description

As a Technical Animator at Blackbird Interactive, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Maya and Unreal-based pipelines and tools to support animation, rigging, and content export workflows. You'll collaborate with animators and riggers to define modular rig standards, build and modernize existing pipelines and tools, and partner with engineers and designers to ensure pipeline output integrates cleanly into the game engine and meets performance targets. The role involves creating rigging systems, batch tooling, Maya automation, scratch animation, asset validation, and maintaining a clean and scalable animation/content pipeline. The studio supports both remote and hybrid working arrangements across Canada and values creative voices in a flexible environment. Passion for games and film is a bonus.
