What you'll do:
- Design, build, and deploy robust backend services, data pipelines, and highly available APIs.
- Prototype quickly, then harden validated prototypes for enterprise-scale adoption.
- Set technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive cross-team initiatives.
What we're looking for:
- Extensive staff-level backend engineering experience with vertical ownership from schema to production.
- Infrastructure fluency: CI/CD, observability, incident response, and experience with AI-augmented systems.
- Collaboration with product managers, scientists, and customer-facing teams, with genuine interest in climate.
