Volunteer Services Officer

The Volunteer Services Officer will support the community companion service in Derbyshire by developing and implementing operational plans for designated locations. This includes building relationships with communities and local organizations to support volunteer-led services. The role manages all aspects of service delivery, including referrals, assessments, and caseload review to ensure consistency with community needs. The Officer works with Talent Acquisition and Onboarding teams to recruit and support volunteers, delivering training and development programs. Efficient resource management and documentation of all operational activities according to service expectations are key responsibilities, alongside adhering to Marie Curie policies and safeguarding measures to maintain a safe environment for clients, volunteers, and staff. Some travel is required to work with local services, GPs, and volunteer organizations.
