What you will do:
- Drive product capability with an offensive practitioner's perspective to Censys's scanning, fingerprinting, and attack surface data.
- Conduct original research on emerging attack techniques and adversary tradecraft using Internet-wide scan data.
- Publish seminal work at conferences like DEF CON and Black Hat, establishing Censys as an authoritative voice in offensive security.
Skills and experience you will have:
- 5+ years of hands-on penetration testing, red teaming, or adversary emulation experience.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, service fingerprinting, and Internet-scale scanning concepts.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar for building tooling and analyzing large datasets.
Preferred qualifications:
- Relevant certifications like OSCP, OSCE, or OSEP.
- Experience with IoT, OT/ICS, or embedded device security research.
- A track record of public research output including CVEs, conference talks, or technical blog posts.
