Lead Software Engineer - Digital Platforms

About the Role:

• Provide technical leadership for a large and complex web ecosystem, including approximately 140 WordPress sites and Drupal properties.
• Balance hands-on coding with owning architecture, engineering standards, and technical strategy.
• Mentor and develop engineers while managing stakeholder expectations and technical discovery.

What You Will Contribute:

• Own architecture across the web ecosystem, including hosting, infrastructure, integrations, and long-term platform direction.
• Establish engineering and QA standards, including CI/CD, automation, and dependency management.
• Lead technical discovery and estimation, and develop a 12-24 month strategy for consolidating or migrating sites.

What You Will Bring:

• Eight or more years of software engineering experience, including time as a technical lead or staff engineer.
• Deep experience with WordPress and Drupal, including custom themes, modules, and modern PHP.
• Strong skills in front-end JavaScript, SQL, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure.
