Clinical Documentation Review and Reporting:
- Assess clinical documentation for compliance with federal and payer guidelines.
- Validate charges, evaluate billing accuracy, and identify improvement areas.
- Conduct face-to-face provider education and submit audit reports to leadership.
Clinical Coding Research and Education:
- Participate in OIG Work Plan development and research coding inquiries.
- Provide training sessions to coding and billing staff on documentation standards.
- Monitor payment status and update coding department newsletters and references.
Qualifications and Benefits:
- Requires high school diploma; preference for AAS in Health Information Management.
- Must obtain AHIMA or AAPC coding certification within 12 months.
