The Trust & Safety (T&S) Group vision is to empower everyone to feel safe in trusting Canva content. To safeguard our community, our T&S engineering teams build technologies to protect user safety (including but not limited to their account, content, data, and privacy) and to prevent, detect, and mitigate abuse and fraud. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our backend systems, working with tech stacks such as DynamoDb, MySql, Snowflake, and AWS. What you’ll do: Design, develop, and maintain backend systems for content classification, review, and enforcement to safeguard the billions of content published through Canva. Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to research, clarify, and launch T&S solutions. Develop and enhance tools and technologies that enable proactive monitoring, analysis, and reporting of trust and safety-related metrics.
